A footage has leaked showing the Double Olympic Medalist Sushil Kumar along with his friends hitting another wrestler, Sagar Dhankar with sticks. The wrestler, Sagar Dhankar who was being hitted later, died of injuries he suffered.
On hearing the police siren they are not able to escape with their vehicles but leave both the cars (Scorpio and Brezza) and their weapons at the spot. People accused in the case also have very serious criminal records in the past.
The police arrested Sushil Kumar and his friend in the murder case last week. The police give the statement to the court that: Sushil made his friend record the video of the whole incident to create a state of extreme fear in the wrestling circuit in the city and to prove his dominance. All the arrested friends of Sushil Kumar are the members of Kala Asauda and Neeraj Bawana gang.
In the footage, Sushil Kumar can be seen brutally hitting Sagar Dhankar, Sonu Mahal, and others. In evidence, the police have the complete video. This video is captured by Sushil’s aide Prince’s phone. Prince recorded the video by following Sushil’s instructions. Few cases are also lodged against Prince too.
Sushil and his friends thrashed Sagar Dhankar and his two friends on 4th May 2021 at Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium like animals. All three had to be hospitalized later Sagar Dhankar died of his injuries.
Olympic Medalist Sushil Kumar was arrested on Sunday by Delhi Police Special cell from Delhi Mundka. Sushil Kumar escaped for over 20 days after this incident.
On 18th May, 2021 two times winner of Olympic Medals Sushil Kumar approached a court in Delhi’s Rohini seeking protection from arrest, claiming that the evidence against him was biased and no injuries caused to Sagar Dhankar, the victim were attributable to him. But, the court however, dismissed an anticipatory bail ple by Sushil Kumar, saying “he was a prima facie the main conspirator” and allegations against him were very serious in nature.
The Delhi police have filed an FIR against multiple sections that is (Section 302 Murder, Section 308 Culpable Homicide, Section 365 Kidnapping, Section 325 Causing Grievous Hurt, Section 323 Volunatry Causing Hurt, Section 341 Wrongful Restraint and also Section 506 Criminal Intimidation) of The Indian Pennal court.
Here is not the end.They also included Sections 269 negligent act likely to spread infection of disease, Section 120-B criminal conspiracy and Section 34 common intention of IPC and various Sections under the Arms Act.
Sushil Kumar won a Bronze Medal within the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a Silver Medal within the 2012 in London Olympics.
